Ilsa is a gorgeous, super affectionate and energetic (but small-sized) young lady with heaps of fun and love to offer. Everyone who meets her falls in love instantly!
Although shy at first, she’s very affectionate once she knows people and loves cuddling up for fuss and attention. Her whole body wiggles with her tail wags when she comes to greet you. She’s fully house-trained, and is totally relaxed left home alone for four hours in her puppy pen (crate training in process and going well!)
Ilsa loves going out for walks in the countryside, and is learning to walk nicely on the lead, but is understandably a bit nervous of seeing unfamiliar dogs or sometimes people (she’s not reactive but tends to freeze up a bit or tries to hide behind our dog). She gets on great with our resident dog on walks but in the house we don’t mix them much as our dog likes her own space. With proper introductions she will likely be happy to live with another tolerant dog. We haven’t cat-tested her, but she was apparently ok with her rescuer’s cat in Romania.
At about 14 months old, she’s essentially still a playful puppy, and she’s looking for a kind, patient home where she can gain confidence. She gets the zoomies and loves charging about for a bit, but she also settles and sleeps really well. As she’s young and energetic she’d prefer to live with a person who also enjoys walks and play. She’s very agile and loves climbing on the hills with us.
She’s smart and food motivated, takes food gently, is relaxed left home alone, travels well in the car and she’s not noise sensitive.
