PARENT BIRDS
Please note the parent birds are not for sale.
These two are the chicks of our pet birds outside, who are called Bubble and Pika. Bubble is a Pearl Pied female cockatiel and Pika is a Whiteface Pied male cockatiel. This is their second clutch, their first being laid in 2024. They had three chicks this year, however one of them is not ready to be sold yet. Bubble and Pika live in an outside aviary where we provide them with a nest box to rear their chicks safely.
THE CHICKS
Both of the chicks are presumed male as they have been practicing to sing from an early age, something we have never observed in female cockatiel chicks. They were both removed from the nest at around 3wks old and from then on were fed formula from a syringe by us.
They are both on a diet of seeds at the moment, but in time would probably accept pellets. Millet is a favourite.
They will be both fully weaned and fledged in 4 weeks, ready for a loving home. We are able to reserve them for homes we are comfortable selling them to. We think they both hatched on the 31st of March 2025.
CHARLIE
Charlie is a male Pearl Pied cockatiel. He has begun to practice singing and in time should be a great songster. He is a very active little thing and very friendly. He would be perfect for a home that wants an energetic fun-loving bird. He knows how to step up onto a finger/hand and should be easy to teach recall and other tricks.
SAGE (RESERVED)
Sage is a male Whiteface Pearl Pied cockatiel. Like Charlie he's already becoming a bit of a songster, and practices his singing voice often. He is adventurous and playful, however loves cuddles and affection. From a young age he has always loved having his head stroked. He too knows how to step up and further tricks would not be hard to teach.
REQUIREMENTS FOR A NEW HOME
Both birds must be housed with people they will get a lot of attention from. They are to be sold separately, but would get along together. Growing up, we have always allowed them long durations of the day outside their cage where they can have time to interact, play and fly. We disapprove of clipping wings as they have always been able to fly around with full wings.
