The Scottish Terrier is a delightful dog, and although it is feisty, it makes a wonderful companion and family dog. Their coat is typically black, but brindle and wheaten are also allowed under the Kennel Club breed standard. Scotties are small dogs with short legs and lots of feathers around the muzzle and on the legs, which adds to their charming appearance. They are often called Aberdeenies and have found their way into the hearts and homes of many people not only in the UK, but in other parts of the world - and for good reason.
