Toybobs are often referred to as the "smallest" of all cat breeds and are known for their loving, affectionate nature. They are intelligent and love the company of their owners and being around other pets. They remain very kittenish into old age, and adult Toybobs never grow larger than kittens of other cat breeds. However, they are not "miniature" cats, they are naturally small in stature.

Toybob cats are generally healthy and hardy with a typical lifespan of 14 to 20 years. They do not have many known genetic issues but should be monitored for common feline health concerns such as obesity, dental disease, and occasional digestive problems. Regular veterinary care and maintaining a healthy weight are important for their wellbeing.
