The Norwich Terrier is the smallest of all working terriers and was named after the county where it was first bred in the early 20th century. They look very similar to their Norfolk Terrier cousins, with the difference being that they have pointed ears, while Norfolks boast droopy ears. Although these charming, affectionate and lively dogs were once popular as working dogs and family pets, they have fallen out of favour in recent times. Because of this, they have been placed on the endangered domestic breeds list by the Kennel Club.
