Although urgent, we will only rehome Kairo with someone who we feel is a good fit and can give him what he needs with 100% certainty. We have chosen to put him up for £600 but we can be very flexible on this for the right home as our first priority is to give him what he deserves. After the initial meeting or potentially more meetings if required we can drive Kairo to his new home up to 2 hours away from Airdrie.
With heavy hearts we are having to rehome Kairo due to unforeseen family health issues causing our home to be downsized significantly as well as him not getting along with our 4yo German Shepherd.
We have only had Kairo for just over 2 weeks now. We purchased him from the breeder at 6 months old. He was born on 8th Jan 2025 to 2 working line KNPV Belgian Malis. Reason for that sale was the breeder did not select him as his KNPV dog.
As he was not yet vaccinated or chipped, we took this upon ourselves to do. He will receive his boosters on 8th of August 2025 and has since been microchipped. This will be set to his new owners once he is picked up.
He has no known health issues so insuring him should be fine if this is desired. We currently have him insured with Agria.
Due to our GSD being very mellow and wanting his own space, he did not like Kairo being very boisterous and playing rough. This came as a surprise as when they met a few times at the breeder they got along great and just ignored each other for the most part.
We are forced to downsize as well and this new space will not be enough for the high energy and drive Kairo has. He needs a handler that is willing to work hard on his training and most importantly be consistent, patient and firm with him as he is still learning he ways of the world.
Kairo is toilet trained, crate trained and travels well, although he does not jump into the car crate just yet. He has been socialised when he was a pup and has shown 0 signs of reactivity or any form of agression. He likes to say hello to other people and dogs.
He picks up training very well and is extremely intelligent with a matching toy drive for balls and food drive too. Alongisde this, he loves to use his nose and would do amazing in scent/tracking training. His recall is a work in progress(Can provide a video upon request from our backyard) but he is picking this up very quickly even offlead.
He will come with his collars, harness, rest of his food(Eukanuba Working and Endurance High Protein and Energy Complete Dry Dog Food for Adult Dogs with Chicken) and if needed his car crate(DT Boxes, made for a Renault Arkana Height: 720mm, Width: 600mm, Depth: 850mm) and sleeping crate. We can also provide his ball for interactive play.
