Description

I have homed a lovely boy to join our family, but unfortunately our already 4 year old dachshund doesn’t get on with him. He has lovely temperament, so loving and always wants to be by side you. He is not neutered but can be in the future if new owners wish . He is good on the lead and also toilet trained. He is good with other dogs as before lived with 2. And he has settled perfectly with our dachshund he wants to play and also loves to cuddle. He barks on walks to play when seeing others but in a good way as excited . But that’s just the breed as ours is the same. We have his vaccination card and he is microchipped . His last vaccination was done 4 months ago this year so won’t be due until next year. We are looking to give him to a loving home only as he deserves the best life, a family or older couple who have the time and love to give him as he would be an ideal dog . If we didn’t already have our dachshund we would keep him.

Extremely affectionate and loyal little dogs
Very intelligent Dachshunds learn quickly and know how to please
Fun-loving and playful by nature
Energetic and feisty Dachshunds like to be kept entertained

Cons

Not the best choice for first time owners because Dachshunds often have a mind of their own
Care must be taken with puppies because they must not be allowed to jump up or down from anywhere because it could damage their backs and joints
They are prone to putting on too much weight if not given enough daily exercise
The breed is known to suffer from quite a few health concerns so vet bills can be high and why pet insurance is so important for anyone owning a Dachshund
