Description

Bruno is a 3.5-year-old male French Bulldog. He is not neutered because I was afraid that this would change his character, he does not pee in the house or exhibit any bad behaviours. He is affectionate, friendly, and active. He loves to walk, run, and play. He is brave and not cowardly, even when some dogs get angry and try to bite him. He is willing to accompany you anywhere and he enjoys car rides. He is potty trained only outside (we have a garden) and knows the commands in Russian such as "sit," "stop," "voice," and "where's the toy?" to which he runs, picks up, and brings back a toy to play with you. Around September 2024, he began having skin problems; he scratched himself until he bled especially his ears and neck. We have visited the veterinary and established a good treatment plan, which has been working for him well. Everyday he eats hypoallergenic food (Pro Plan Veterinary Diets HA Hypoallergenic Adult Dry Dog Food) and needs half a tablet of Prednidale 5mg. Some of his hair on the back and head has fallen out but the vet said there is regrowth and that he is okay since he is no longer scratching badly; Although I don’t think it will fully grow back. For bath time I use Malaseb shampoo as it helps with his skin. He is up to date on his health checks and vaccines. I am looking for a new home for Bruno because I need to go to another country for a joint replacement surgery, followed by rehabilitation. I can no longer walk, run, and play with him like I used to. He gets upsets and misses the daily walks he's accustomed to. I'm willing to order and pay for his hypoallergenic food, Prednidale 5mg and Malaseb shampoo that he needs for his health. He likes to sleep on the couch or a soft ottoman. He doesn't like getting dressed in cold weather but needs it because he can get cold. Sometimes I give him a little bit of apple, pear, carrot or celery. I have not done elimination diet to figure out what he is definitely allergic to but most likely he is allergic to chicken because that was when his skin was at its worst.
