Winnie – KC Registered Springer Spaniel
Winnie is a lovely girl who has sadly not made it through our detection dog program. She has lived with dogs and is generally great around them, but she can be intermittently reactive on lead or in a kennel. We believe this may be barrier frustration rather than true aggression, as it is not consistent. Because we often work in groups, we cannot proceed with her training here.
With a solo handler and her own kennel space, she could still return to detection work, as her foundations are strong.
She is house and kennel trained and could also make a sweet, active pet for someone looking for a loyal companion to explore with. She may also suit a gundog home, with someone willing to spend a little time working on any occasional lead reactivity. With spaniels and labs she is generally fine – it is just inconsistent.
If going to a pet home she would need to be the only dog in the home, this is simply for her benefit we feel she would thrive more as an only pet
Winnie is KC registered, wormed, flead, clean, quiet, and a confident, happy-natured dog she is also docked with certificates
