🖤 Inka – 1-Year-Old Black German Shepherd Looking for Her Forever Home 🖤
Inka is a beautiful 1-year-old black German Shepherd who is now looking for a carefully matched, loving pet home.
She is a very affectionate and people-focused girl who forms strong bonds with her humans. Inka is great with children, calm in the home, and enjoys being close to her people.
About Inka:
• 1 year old, black German Shepherd
• Neutering will be fully covered and is booked for February
• Loving, affectionate nature but nervous when meeting strangers, once she has had a good sniff she loves cuddles.
• Great with children, currently living with 6yo profoundly autistic child
• Prefers female handlers, can be nervous around men, especially those who are unsure of dogs.
• Raw fed
• Crate trained – sleeps through the night and can spend up to 6 hours in a crate or kennel with appropriate exercise either side
Training & Behaviour:
Inka is fully e-collar trained and has excellent recall. She walks happily off-lead in all environments and has experience in town centres, busy parks, shops and cafés.
She has basic obedience training in place, with scope to develop further, although she is not food-motivated and has a relatively low drive.
Inka is non-reactive on walks and is good with other dogs when introduced carefully, but she prefers to be left alone rather than play or interact. She would be happiest as the only pet in the home.
Additional training can be undertaken for any needs of her new home.
Additional Information:
• Does not travel well and can suffer from travel sickness
• Not suitable as a working dog – pet home only
• Would suit a calm, pet-free, female-led home
Support & Transition:
To ensure Inka settles well, a full training package is included. Training sessions will take place in Fontwell, and she will come with her Dogtra e-collar once training is completed. Lifetime support will also be provided to her new home.
Finding the right home for Inka is the absolute priority and all potential homes will be thoroughly vetted. She deserves a calm, understanding environment where she can continue to thrive as a much-loved companion.
