This is Max - a loving, gentle and adorable black cat, about 4 years old. We rescued him when he was a kitten, and abandoned by his owner at a vets, so we are unsure of his breed. Max has been microchipped and had his kitten vaccinations and been neutered. For a brief time when he was younger, he lived in a ground floor flat where he could go in the garden. But for most of his life he has been an indoor cat in a small flat.
We are looking for a calm, stable home for Max to go to sadly due to our housing circumstances and he will be sorely missed. Max is a very gentle cat, and needs gentle and patient owners. He can be timid around strangers, and takes time to build up trust, but once he knows you he is such a loving and friendly cat. He loves head scratches the most. The video of him meowing is when I picked up his favourite brush, as he loves to be brushed all over and will sit with you for hours.
Max likes to be in the same room as someone and will happily sleep on your lap or nearby to keep you company. He can get overwhelmed with loud or sudden noises, so we are looking for the right environment for him to feel comfortable in.
We currently feed him dry food, with occasional wet food as a treat (which he goes crazy for!) He has also been taught a trick to give his paw if you have a treat. He is fully litter trained.
We are really keen to find Max the most suitable home, so would be happy for you to visit and meet him, and for us to see where he will be living.
