Description
2 year old Snow and Micky are looking for a new home together due to very sad but unavoidable changes in their owner’s circumstances. Time is running out and they will be homeless come the end if April.
Their owner cares deeply for them, but ongoing health issues alongside severe allergies within the family mean they are no longer able to give Snow and Micky the time and environment they need. This has been a very difficult decision, made with their wellbeing very much in mind.
Snow (female) and Micky (male) are a bonded pair and must be rehomed together.
Both are around 2 years old, neutered, microchipped and litter trained. They have been well cared for and are used to living as indoor/outdoor cats.
They are friendly, gentle cats who enjoy companionship, but can be a little shy at first and may hide when meeting new people. They would be best suited to a relatively calm home environment where they can settle at their own pace and feel secure.
Snow and Micky are clearly very loved and this decision has not been taken lightly. They are simply looking for a stable, caring home where they can continue their lives together and receive the time and attention they deserve
About Penny Paws
Hi, I’m Rebecca and I run Penny Paws, a small independent, non-profit rescue helping cats in need find safe, loving permanent homes.
Penny Paws grew from simply wanting to help the occasional cat who had nowhere else to go. Over time, that grew into a trusted network of foster homes and volunteers, all working together to give cats a second chance at a secure and happy life.
Cats come into our care from all sorts of situations – strays, abandoned cats, unwanted litters, or much-loved pets needing rehoming due to changes in circumstances. Many arrive confused or unsettled, so taking the time to match them carefully to the right home is really important to me.
All cats are cared for in foster homes, not cages, which means we can understand their personalities and needs before adoption. My aim is always to ensure each cat is placed in the most suitable long-term home where they will be safe, settled and loved.
Penny Paws is entirely self-funded and non-profit. Nobody involved receives a salary – adoption fees and donations go directly towards vet care, food, litter, transport and rescue costs for the cats in our care. The adoption fee only covers part of the true cost, but it allows me to continue helping more cats safely and responsibly.
Every cat receives at least one vet check and parasite treatment as standard, and cats old enough are neutered.
I operate a thoughtful adoption process because finding the right match is so important. The aim is always a smooth transition and a permanent home.
Due to the number of enquiries received, I am usually only able to reserve a cat once a deposit has been received. The deposit allows me to secure the cat for you and decline other enquiries, ensuring the process is fair for everyone and that each cat is placed in a committed home.
Pets4Homes does not process payments on behalf of rescues, so deposits are arranged directly once an application has been approved.
I understand bank transfer deposits can feel unfamiliar online. I am always happy to answer any questions so you feel comfortable and confident before reserving.
During kitten season (March – July), demand for young kittens is extremely high, so I operate a kitten list system. This allows approved adopters to be contacted when kittens reach the appropriate age to reserve, and helps avoid disappointment caused by reserving very young kittens too early.
I know adopting a cat is a big decision and I’m always happy to answer questions and offer guidance wherever needed.
Every adoption makes space for another cat needing help.
Thank you for supporting rescue 💛🐾
