Description

Theo is a typical dachshund and will be 3 on 25.12.26. We’ve had him since a puppy but due to health reasons and caring responsibilities, I can no longer give him the care and exercise he needs. He is castrated. Fully up to date with worming and cleaning through the vet. He is a loving protector and sleeps by your feet under the covers. He loves to get under the blanket on the couch and just snooze away. He is reactive as most dachshund we call it little dog syndrome lol he barks at doors and people knocking on but is all over people as soon as they come in and he knows them. He doesn’t know the meaning of personal space. He would get inside your skin if he could lol x Please look up the breed if you are not aware of dachshunds xx Forever home only please xx

Pros

Extremely affectionate and loyal little dogs
Very intelligent Dachshunds learn quickly and know how to please
Fun-loving and playful by nature
Energetic and feisty Dachshunds like to be kept entertained

Cons

Not the best choice for first time owners because Dachshunds often have a mind of their own
Care must be taken with puppies because they must not be allowed to jump up or down from anywhere because it could damage their backs and joints
They are prone to putting on too much weight if not given enough daily exercise
The breed is known to suffer from quite a few health concerns so vet bills can be high and why pet insurance is so important for anyone owning a Dachshund
