Description
I have decided to rehome my guinea pigs for two reasons.
1) they came to me in a small but standard use cage which is far too small for them to live in especially being males so I decided to upgrade them to a c&c cage not knowing it didn't come with a solid base so my plan was to put it in the dining table with an overhang so it was at a comfortable height fir me to clean... it doesn't come with a base so the table wasn't an option, living in a small flat I had to get rid of the table to put the cage on the floor then I came to clean it... oh my ! I'm disabled and i just can't get low enough to clean it out I struggled so bad its not something I can do every few days physically.
2) the cage is 6ft×2ft and i paid extra for a loft and a lid because I have 5 cats, unfortunately my two youngest cats just won't leave it alone and unfortunately tbe lid won't support a cats weight, ive found them multiple times asleep in the hay, im very greatful they haven't harmed the piggies however this is a daily sometimes multiple times a day thing and its not fair the piggies are terrorised by a predator in their bed.
What they come with.
💥Brand new (a week old) c&c cage with loft , lid and lilac liner.
💥two bales of hay in a ton bag ( This is the only hay they like and it works out really cheap)
💥 a brand new bag of shredded bedding , i was going to switch to bath mats.
💥 several bags of dry food(different veriaties)
💥a spare cage for cleaning not to be lived in💥multiple brand new hay bags
💥 a couple of tunnels
💥any veg left over.
Im asking a nominal amount for what's included to help them find a home ASAP because I really really can't do the cleaning so need the rehomed as soon as.
The black one is friendly takes food from your hand lets you stoke him the other is more nervous but I can't get down ok the floor now to pet him.
Collection only from westleigh WN7
The hay is from fearns equestrian on eBay, they sell 2 varieties, golden and green. The golden is long stalks what i use for them to burrow in , the green is fine chopped and I put it in hay bags its the only hay they have enjoyed eating its £14 for a big bale and 3 weeks in ive barely made a dent in it so its EXTREMELY economical it will easily last a few months and knowing they are eating so much hay it will keep their teeth down. Ive have tried pet shop hay, hay from various other shops and even a mega expensive subscription whi h was £50 a box 😬and they didnt like it so id really love the new owner to stick to what they like.
