Description
Due to no fault is his own we are sadly having to rehome our male dachshund. He is 7 months old and fully vaccinated and chipped. He has been brought up with babies and children. He loves kids. We also have 2 cats but they don’t like him but he just wants to play with them. We need someone who has plenty of time for him and at home majority of the time as he doesn’t like being at home. Good with other dogs.

Pros
Extremely affectionate and loyal little dogs
Very intelligent Dachshunds learn quickly and know how to please
Fun-loving and playful by nature
Energetic and feisty Dachshunds like to be kept entertained
Cons
Not the best choice for first time owners because Dachshunds often have a mind of their own
Care must be taken with puppies because they must not be allowed to jump up or down from anywhere because it could damage their backs and joints
They are prone to putting on too much weight if not given enough daily exercise
The breed is known to suffer from quite a few health concerns so vet bills can be high and why pet insurance is so important for anyone owning a Dachshund
