Description
Bluey is a 8-year-old parrotlet and Kiki is a 5-year-old conure. They’re not hand tame and won’t be joining you on your shoulder anytime soon—but they do have a strong bond and genuinely enjoy each other’s company. That said, they cannot share a cage. They’ve been known to fight when housed together, but if you move their cages apart, they’ll call out for each other until they’re reunited.
They must be rehomed together, but in separate cages placed side by side.
Bluey is the more dominant of the two—stubborn, confident, and always keen to assert himself. Kiki is gentler and more reserved, preferring to keep a low profile while staying close to Bluey. Their dynamic is part of what makes them so endearing to watch, and they clearly find comfort in each other’s presence.
They’ve always lived indoors and are not suitable for aviary life. Each will need a large cage with plenty of flight space, and they’ll do best with daily out-of-cage time to stretch their wings and explore. They’re not tame, so getting them back into their cages may take a little extra patience and training—but with consistency, they learn the routine.
Despite their independence, they’re a joy to have around. Their chatter is soft and melodic, and while they do call to each other, they’re not overly noisy. They bring a lovely presence to the home without overwhelming it.
Bluey and Kiki aren’t beginner birds, but they’ll thrive in the right home—one that values their bond, respects their boundaries, and is committed to giving them a safe, permanent place to live.
If you think you’re the right fit, please get in touch and tell us a bit about your setup and experience. A home check and adoption agreement will apply.
