Dave (we believe he’s male) is 5/6 months old - hatched aprox March 18th 2025
We have had him for 2 months
He was hand reared
He will step up, sit on heads, shoulders laps etc
He is just starting to whistle tunes
He can be a bit bitey at times, like all young birds, but is still young and learning which is going to take time and patience
He is very inquisitive and intelligent and I think with the right home he could be an amazing companion and family member
This is a reluctant rehoming as I love him (female) yet I’m the one he is bitey with
He’s fine with my husband
He appears to be in love with my son
My daughter is terrified of him
Having him has caused a bit of a problem in our household and I can’t see a way to make it work
I just feel as though we don’t have the experience and correct dynamics to make this work in Dave’s best interest and he is young enough to go and settle in a home where he can thrive.
