We put a huge amount of time into early desensitisation work to help our puppies develop into confident, well-balanced miniature dachshunds.
They are gradually and safely introduced to:
• TV, music & everyday household noise
• Vacuum, hairdryer, washing machine
• Firework sounds
• Animal noises (dogs, cats, birds, farm animals)
• Children’s toys (bells, rattles, squeaks, clatter)
• Door knocks & doorbells
• Traffic and outdoor sounds
• Gentle children’s noise
• Daily handling routines
• Early neurological stimulation
• Different textures, bedding & safe toys
• Early crate introduction — a soft, open crate is placed in their area so they can explore it freely, making it a positive, comforting space for when they go to their new homes
This structured early programme helps reduce future fearfulness, improves confidence, and makes the transition to new homes much smoother.
Feeding & Weaning
• Puppies are fed a balanced raw diet starting with raw weaning paste and then once old enough raw puppy food to support healthy growth and development.
