🐶 Mika is a 4-year-old spaniel-type girl, smallish in size and bursting with charm. Spayed, housetrained, and incredibly affectionate – she’s a loving, bouncy bundle of joy with an extraordinary story and an even brighter future ahead.

💔 Rescue Story
🐶 Mika’s journey to safety is nothing short of miraculous. She was first found abandoned in an active war zone – confused, but still full of hope. It was clear she had once known the warmth of a home: she trusted people instantly and ran to be stroked. Rescuers took her in, but fate had another challenge in store. One day, curious and energetic as ever, Mika darted out through a gate and was struck by a car. The impact tore part of her scalp, fractured her skull, and severely damaged one eye. She was thrown metres across the road – but somehow, she survived.
Amazingly, her brain was untouched. Amazingly, her brain was untouched. And slowly, with care and love, Mika healed completely. She lost one ear and one eye and carries a large scar, but her spirit is whole. There are no lingering effects – physically or emotionally – from the accident. Mika plays, loves, explores, and trusts just as fully as any other dog. She was meant to survive – and she’s meant to belong to someone special.
More About Mika
🐶 Mika is the definition of a “people dog” – sociable, trusting, and full of joyful energy. She immediately gravitates toward people, asking for cuddles and affection. She loves being stroked and snuggled, but she also listens well and responds to calm guidance.
🏠🐾 At home, she’s beautifully behaved. Fully housetrained, non-destructive, and not a barker – though she does like jumping onto chairs and might steal something if left unsupervised (classic spaniel mischief!).
🐶 She’s very active and needs a good amount of daily exercise – ideally off-lead in safe areas, or on a long 15m training lead so she can explore and burn off her bouncy energy. Mika is brilliant with all dogs, and although she mostly ignores cats, she’s not suitable for homes with chickens – her prey drive kicks in fast, and she struggles to disengage.
🐶 She’s amazing with children but best suited to homes with dog-savvy kids aged 8+ – she’s friendly and sweet, but excitable, playful and a jumpy at times. Mika needs human companionship and constant connection. She’ll be your shadow – and if she’s an only dog, she’ll love you to bits... possibly to exhaustion! That’s why we think she’d do best with a playful resident dog who can share the cuddles and keep her company.
🐶 Mika is one of those dogs who just makes life feel better. She greets every day with joy, every person with a tail wag, and every moment with love. If you want a dog who will never stop appreciating you – who will fill your life with laughter, affection, and warm paws on your lap – Mika is the one. She’s earned her second chance, and now she’s just waiting for someone to finally say, “You’re home.”
🩺 Health Information
🐶 Mika is fully healthy. She is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. She does have a missing eye and ear and a visible scar as the result of a past car accident, but she made a full recovery. There are no ongoing medical or behavioural effects. All dogs are C.Brucella tested before trip (owners will receive a licensed laboratory test certificate).
