Description
Our super star working Border Collie has self-whelped a lovely litter of six Border Collie pups. They are a mixture of black and white or black, white and tan.
The pups come from a line we have had at the farm for a few generations and mum is one of our core workers on the farm. Dad comes from well-known breeder and is also a working dog here. Dad is ISDS registered.
The pups have been socialised with other dogs (including other breeds) and children. They have also been introduced to sheep to see which have a natural potential for working the breed. They would be great for those wanting to do agility, hill walking, jogging, etc with their dog.
The pups available in this litter (denoted by last two digits of the microchip):
BOY *65: The biggest boy in the litter and black, white and tan. He is a real softy, is always wagging his tail, loves exploring and giving you licks.
BOY *66: (PENDING) A very playful pup. This boy isn't the biggest, but has a big personality and is interested in sheep. He would make a good working dog. Black/white/tan.
GIRL *67: this black, white and tan girl is a friendly, inquisitive pup, who loves to explore. She has shown some interest in sheep but not as much as *66 and *68. Therefore, she could work well in an active home.
BOY *68: (PENDING) This black and white boy is friendly, loves to run around and also very interested in sheep. He could make a great working dog or be great to agility or fly-ball.
BOY *69: A lovely black and white pup, but a bit timid, so probably won't be working sheep. However, he does love cuddles and a fuss and quite happily will sit with you or hang out in the sunshine.
GIRL *70: (PENDING) A lovely black and white, friendly girl, who loves to play. She is a bit quieter and tends to hide under the landrover when near the sheep. She loves a fuss too.
The pups come with:
- Microchip
- A vet check
- 4 weeks' free insurance
- Bag of dog food to get you started
- Information pack on how to get off to the best start with your pup
- A toy
- Flea and worming treatment up to date
Next steps:
It is very important to us that our pups go to the best homes. If you have experience with the breed, that's a plus, but really we are looking for active homes that are willing to work with their dog to make it the best it can be. Border Collies are a fantastic breed and we have had pets and working dogs over the years. However, they do often come with a herding instinct so it is important to commit to channeling that amazing trait into something positive. Collies don't appreciate boredom.
We ask all enquiries to complete a questionnaire so we can help match the right pup with the right home. You are welcome to meet the pups with their parents. We are also happy to do video calls in the first instance but potential owners do need to pick up their pups in person.
The pups are available unless they have RESERVED (deposit paid) or SOLD next to them. PENDING means the dog is being considered by potential owners.
We also have a waiting list for future litters if you want to be added to that.
