We are looking to rehome our loved boy Freddie as he is not settling well with our children and has just become unhappy, I would not recommend rehoming Freddie if you have children yourselves he may be okay with older children but I could not be 100% sure as we only have very young children and Freddie growls at them and does not like them by him. He is neutered, crate trained, fully house trained, used to vets, used to being groomed every 4-5 weeks, a very loving dog with me and my partner just not the children, he is still bouncy and very strong, loves walks but does pull on the lead, recall is okay but not 100% especially when distracted by other dogs, birds and squirrels, never runs off when the front door is opened, we also have all paperwork from when we brought him from the breeder as a puppy with all his microchip and vaccination information and any other details you may need.
Some of the things we will mention are that Freddie does have ongoing issues with ear infections which we are happy to disclose any vet information as to what we have tried over the years so he does have smelly, itchy ears quite often, he loves a good bark at the doorbell or if anyone is near the front door which some may see as a good thing and he barks when he goes into the back garden but only lasts a minute or less then stops, the major issue we have had is the growling at the children, he does not like them going over to him, touching him or going by him in the crate and will growl but has not snapped or bitten anyone ever but I cannot say he wouldn’t if pushed as we have always removed the children when he shows signs he is uncomfortable with how close they are, he can also be a bit guarded when in his crate as that is his safe space and will happily take himself there to sleep at bedtime or if he needs space and likes to be left when inside there. we will disclose any information with anyone serious about re homing him and will be completing honest to ensure you and Freddie are happy
