Description

2 beautiful miniature dachshunds are needing rehoming 1 chocolate dapple (3 years old) and 1 grey colour one (2 years old). As a family we are heartbroken to have to make this decision however, Rex has snapped at our daughter who is 2 and we can no longer take the risk. Rex - he is a beautiful boy who is a bit of a happy dog (barks at anything). Rex is quite an anxious dog and needs lots of reassurance. Otto - Rex is very much his best friend and he follows Rex around. Is also a barker but not as much as Rex. Both have a loving personally, good with other dogs however they have not been done so they can be too much for other dogs sometimes. Off lead recall is okay however, I wouldn’t trust them by a road (they have no road sense). I walk them off a lead in fields and down the beach however, need to be weary as they do bark at other dogs and people - they do love attention. They are crate trained - they sleep in this every night and they do find it a comfort. Both house toilet trained however they do have accidents or can be stubborn if it’s wet/cold outside (dachshund owners will understand). Both are up to date with vaccinations, flea and worming. Requirements for new owner; - to have experience with dachshunds, they are a needy breed and require attention. - not to be with young children - to be able to give them time and attention We are not in a rush so they will be going to the right person - this is extremely hard for us as a family but it has to be done. Request a small payment this is due to ensure the boys will be going to someone who is willing to pay for them, meaning they truly will be looked after and loved. Both boys are to go together. No time wasters please.
