🐾 Meet Leo: A Heart of Gold Looking for His Forever Adventure
It is with an incredibly heavy heart and a million pieces of a broken soul that I am writing this. Due to a major change in work shifts, our beautiful boy Leo isn't getting the time or activity he truly deserves. We have loved him since he was 10 weeks old, and this is the hardest decision we’ve ever had to make.
The Basics:
Breed: Weimaraner x Labrador
Age: 2 Years Old
Training: Fully house-trained and crate-trained.
Personality: A social butterfly! He has been raised in a "crazy busy" household and is amazing with children of all ages.
Why He’s Special:
Leo is a high-energy, loving soul who thrives on companionship. He is a "ball is life" kind of guy and is phenomenal off-lead with excellent recall. If you have a field and a tennis ball, you have a best friend for life.
What Leo Needs (The Honest Truth):
We want his next home to be his forever home, so his new family needs to be prepared for:
The "Sock Thief": While he is an angel with furniture, Leo thinks socks are a delicacy. A tidy home or a watchful eye is a must!
Lead Training: After a bad experience at a daycare where he was unfairly restrained, Leo has developed a habit of chewing through leads and pulling while on-tether. He needs a patient owner willing to work on his lead manners with positive reinforcement.
Space to Run: Because of his breeds, a short walk around the block won't cut it. He needs a family with the time to let him run for hours and burn off that beautiful Weimaraner energy.
Leo is a perfect dog who just needs more time than we can currently give him. This is through no fault of his own, and we are looking for a family who will love him as much as we do.
