How big? Medium as adult How old? Puppy (estimated DOB 01.04.2025) Male or female? Male Living with kids? I can live with children (8+) Living with dogs? I can live with other dogs Resident dog required? No, but could be beneficial Living with cats? I’m looking for a home without cats Where can I live? I’d like an active home with a garden Where am I from? Cyprus, now in London, E9 About Roo Roo is a gorgeous young pup with a heart of gold and the most charming personality. Originally from Cyprus, he’s now living in a foster home in London and as you can imagine, everyone he meets falls for him. With his warm eyes and affectionate nature, it’s hard not to! Roo is a sweet, sensitive boy who adores the company of people, exploring and playing with other dogs. He’s looking for a active home that can give him all the love and attention he deserves. Roo is full of curiosity and enthusiasm. He loves his walks in the park where he can play with other dogs, sniff every interesting smell he comes across and chase the occasional bird or squirrel. He’s very sociable with other dogs and has great instincts when meeting new ones in that he can read their signals well and adjust his energy accordingly. That said, he does believe every dog is a potential friend, so he’ll always try to say hello and may rush up to other (potentially not so friendly) dogs if not on the lead. With people, Roo is very friendly. He has a trusting nature and greets everyone with a wagging tail. He’s been very calm when he’s been approached by children who have politely asked to pet him, although doesn’t have experience living alongside them. As he’s also in a teething phase, older children would be better suited to him at the moment. Roo would thrive in a home where he isn’t left alone for long periods, as he does struggle with separation anxiety and finds closed doors difficult. He’d love to have the frequent company of his people, and while he would definitely benefit from living with another friendly dog who he can play with, it’s not essential as long as he gets plenty of interaction and companionship. Roo can be a bit of a prince at times, enjoying being the centre of attention, but who can blame him, coming from a shelter where he was competing for attention with over one hundred dogs. He’s very food motivated, which really helps when it comes to his training. He already knows “sit” and “lie down” with hand signals, and his recall is progressing well despite him only being in the UK a short time. His lead manners are improving with ongoing training, and he’ll need an adopter who can handle his growing strength and continue to work on his focus during walks - he definitely has spaniel or setter in him so he loves to follow a scent! Roo isn’t yet fully house trained and still has the occasional accident indoors, so patience and routine will be key. A home with a secure garden is a must, both for toilet training and to give him space to play, explore and burn off his puppy energy. Roo would suit a home in a suburban or semi-rural area where he can enjoy an active lifestyle and plenty of time outdoors. He would make a fantastic companion for someone who enjoys adventures but also appreciates evenings curled up together on the sofa, as he loved a cuddle. Roo travels well on public transport and behaves politely in cafés and pubs. Roo’s loving, loyal and joyful personality make him an incredibly special dog. He is still a baby, so it’s important to remember that he’s still learning, but with time, training and affection, he’s going to grow into the most wonderful companion. He’s so fast to learn new things and very eager to please, and given the focus he’s only going to continue to make wonderful progress in a forever home.
