Alpaca Acres Mini Pigs Primrose, Peppa and Peaches have all this week blessed us with the most stunning litters of piglets !
Our Mini Pigs are a small breed mix originating from Valley of the Pigs in Cumbria and Pennywell in Devon.
Primrose, Peppa and Peaches are always on the farm to meet our visitors and their piglets have a snuggly warm house to keep them cosy.
Primrose, Peppa and Peaches are super friendly and our boar (daddy pig) can also be viewed on the farm .
You will need to give your Mini Pigs a warm dry and straw bedded house in an area at least 6 m x 6 m per pig. Mini Pigs feel the cold so always need a cosy draught free area for their house.
Mini Pigs cannot sweat and are so vulnerable to over heating in the hot weather so a paddling pool or mud hole must be provided. Sunscreen is a must for those sensitive ears in the sun too !
Mini Pigs are surprisingly clean and can be house trained ! The hair of a Mini Pig is hypo allergenic so excellent pets for those allergic to fur and feathers !
Mini Pigs need robust fencing surrounding their living area to stop them escaping.
Pigs spend a large part of their day exploring by rooting and foraging at the earth which quickly leads to all vegetation disappearing so please be prepared for this !
Mini Pigs are extremely adventurous and very inquisitive make them lots of fun to be with !
Mini Pigs can be harness trained and love to be taken on a walk to explore.
Please be aware you will need a licence for this activity.
As pigs are highly sociable we would recommend always encouraging buying 2 wherever possible.
All boars are sold as castrates.
We are not a commercial breeder and all our Mini Pigs are raised on the farm as our pets and will only be sold to loving forever homes.
A CPH number will be required.
Mini Pigs will be ready to leave at 3 months old.
Mini pigs will be fully vaccinated and all husbandry up to date on leaving the farm.
When it comes to bringing your Mini Pigs home we will need to fill out a moving document (eAMLZ) online allowing you to move your pig to your home. We will give you a copy of this for your journey home.
