Description
Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, I am having to rehome my 13 week old kitten Charlie. He is a mix of breeds, though I believe his mother is a Khao Manee. He is the sweetest little boy - incredibly playful, loves a cuddle, and very good-natured. He absolutely loves affection, and whenever you give him fuss he will not stop purring and kneading - it’s the cutest thing, his paws get so wide! He’s a little adventurer, loves to explore.
He’s good with travelling, and I have even taken him on public transport in his carrier. He usually meows a little when first moving, but soon goes to sleep. He even likes to “hold my hand” through the carrier door.
He is fully litter trained, and has taken flea and worming tablets, alongside an additional spot-on flea treatment. We currently have him on Whiska’s wet kitten food, and Purina kitten kibble. He is given treats throughout the day when appropriate (he loves Dreamies, Felix Treats, and Lick-e-Licks especially).
My reason for rehoming Charlie is because he is causing great upset to my older Ragdoll boy, George. I have tried to introduce them slowly - watched about a million YouTube tutorials - and didn’t have them meet at all until Charlie had been in the house for several days. I then started bringing Charlie out for George to see, letting him “say hello”. I haven’t progressed much further than this as George is hissing, puffing up his fur and getting visibly distressed. His behaviour has changed drastically since Charlie’s arrival - he has become much more reclusive, hiding away upstairs and well away from me and the kitten. I have tried giving him extra attention, but he seems almost fearful and refuses to engage in play. He has also been incredibly off his food. I have never seen him in such a bad way, and it would be irresponsible of me to let Charlie continue affecting him so much. For Charlie’s sake, too, rehoming is the best option. I don’t want him to overstep a boundary and upset George to the point there is an altercation.
He will come with his set of bowls (three metal bowls elevated on a wooden platform - beautiful design), a brush, whatever remaining kitten food we have, and a little blanket so he has a familiar scent with him. For an additional fee/s, I can include some other bits I have for Charlie. I can send pictures of all. Available is a cat tree (blue and beige with an inbuilt scratching post, it is currently unopened), a little cat sofa (wooden frame with a soft, checkered fabric body), his carrier-cage (brown and beige, very new). All three would be an additional £75 (up for negotiation), but can sell them separately too.
