We have made the difficult decision to rehome our sprocker, Zebeede.
He's a high energy, active dog who loves walks & scent games. He is good off lead & walks well with a nose lead. We have had Sprocker Spaniels before but he is the most energetic we have had.
He's good with other dogs and will sit nicely as they pass by. He sleeps well in a crate & is house trained. He will enjoy fuss from other humans but we can ask him to sit & leave & he will.
The reason for rehoming is that we don't think he's living his best life with us! He much prefers to be with you and isn't great at entertaining himself unless he's exhausted from being active.
We feel our home & lifestyle isn't giving him what he needs. We feel someone who is able to have him outdoors more or is looking for a gundog to work with.
He is very intelligent and learns quickly and he enjoys fun games.
He needs an adult only home he has way too much energy for children & as he's not lived with children he may be overwhelmed.
He will need a new owner who has experience with this breed of energetic dog as we are still working on training to keep him calmer when he's going for a walk or we need him to settle down at night.
We have in the past had a couple of incidences of him showing signs of aggression when he isnt getting what he wants. He has never bitten us. This is all part of his training currently and is part of his needing to switch off & find calm time.
So if you are looking for a lovely energetic keen to learn & train spaniel, Zebee could be your perfect companion. If you are looking for a dog to be a household pet Zebee is not for you.
