Penny is a beautiful much loved family orientated girl, she has always been the only girl in a house full of boys who treat her like a baby sister. Not the best choice for first time owners because Dachshunds often have a mind of their own

Care must be taken with puppies because they must not be allowed to jump up or down from anywhere because it could damage their backs and joints

They are prone to putting on too much weight if not given enough daily exercise
