🐶 Meet Mila, formerly known as Ashly – a beautiful, smaller-medium sized girl of around 8 months old, with gentle eyes and a heart full of softness. She may take a moment to warm up, but once she trusts you, she becomes your most loyal little shadow.

💔 Rescue Story:
Mila’s life began with heartbreak – she and her sister were dumped in a volunteer’s yard at just a month old. Surrounded by larger dogs, their safety hung by a thread, but by some miracle, they were unharmed.
Her sister found a home quickly, while Mila waited – overlooked, but never giving up. She grew up in a busy foster environment in Ukraine, living with many dogs and cats, and slowly learning to trust again.
She arrived in UK 5 weeks ago to supposably her forever home, but family though she will be happier n other home, this is what they said: “ We feel she would be suited with to a household with another dog to help her with her confidence/anxiety. Breaks my heart writing this as i thought we would be her forever home and I hate the short term sadness she will endure but I just feel we are just delaying her happy ever after”.
💙 More About Mila:
Mila is a quiet, sweet girl who deeply craves connection but needs time to feel secure. Once she opens up, she adores sofa cuddles, ear scratches, and being close to her people.
She’s a clever little bean who loves enrichment games – snuffle mats, KONGs, lickimats, and her favourite Nina Ottosson treat maze! She’ll thrive with mental stimulation alongside her daily walks, which she enjoys with enthusiasm (she may pull a little, but nothing beyond typical puppy excitement).
She’s doing brilliantly with training – she can get excitable when meeting other dogs, but her foster is working on rewarding her calm behaviour, and she responds beautifully to peanut butter treats and Whimzies.
Mila does have a sensitive side. She doesn’t like being picked up and shows tension and appeasement behaviour, so this should be avoided to support her confidence. She’s also working through separation anxiety, showing signs of distress when left alone – she’d really benefit from having a calm, confident resident dog to help guide her and make her feel safe.
She’s still adjusting to the big changes of her move to the UK, and has already been through a lot – including recovering from her spay surgery. But day by day, she’s blossoming again.
🏡 Ideal Family:
Mila would be happiest in a quiet, patient home with people who will give her time, consistency, and kindness. She’d love a calm resident dog to help her feel safe and less alone. She’s fine with cats, and respectful older children (8+) who understand her gentle nature would be welcome.
A home where someone is around most of the time would be ideal, especially while she’s still building her confidence and learning that it’s safe to relax.

🐶 Mila is fully healthy. Spayed. Has all core vaccines done and is microchipped.
