Description
I am creating this advert for my friend who needs to re home his 4 cats. I understand it is unlikely we're going to find someone willing to take on 4 cats, so we're hoping to spilt them into pairs. They're being re homed due to no fault of their own, my friend is moving houses so he can go to college & unfortunately the accommodation doesn't allow pets.
I'd take them on myself as they're such lovely cats. However, my house doesn't allow pets either☹️.
UPDATE: WILLOW & TOAD HAVE BEEN REHOMED!
These cats are for adoption, we don't want any money for them, we just want them to go to loving homes❤️.
Information on the advert is incorrect as it wouldn't allow me to put in the right info. Read this description for correct information.
Important information-
🐾 The cat's birthdays:
Goose: 26th August 2023
Toad: 22nd May 2023
Willow: 8th June 2023
Clem: not sure when his birthday is but he is about 1 and 1/2 years.
🐾Castration:
- Toad (all black male) castrated ✅️
- Goose (black & white male) needs castrating ‼️
- Willow (tabby female) spayed✅️
- Clem (all black male) is castrated ✅️
🐾Vaccinations:
They have had their vaccinations, however they're all due boosters!
🐾Flea & worm treatment: they will be given treatment before coming to their new home.
🐾Microchips: all are microchipped.
🐾Pairs: we're hoping Willow & Toad will go together, and then Clem & Goose as these are the bonded pairs.
🐾Cat essentials: before re homing the cats, you will need: a cat tree, food, litter, bowls, toys and beds.
🐾Picking up: I can drive, so if you're local I can drop them off for you if necessary.
🐾finding the right home:
- Willow & Toad would be better off in a home without dogs, as Willow is quite shy & reserved, so probably wouldn't do well with dogs around as she may not feel safe
- Goose & Clem- these two would be okay with children & small dogs.
(All the cats are used to loud noises so would (probably) be okay with children, however they've never really had the chance to interact with kids, however as long as the children are gentle with them it should be fine, my main worry would be Willow). Same goes with dogs, they've not had the chance to interact with any, so I don't know for certain how they would react to them).
THE CATS
🐾Pair one: Willow & Toad
Willow🩷:
Willow is a rescue, she is a beautiful tabby cat. She is a rescue so is quite quiet & reserved, she will start off shy, but once she gets to know you & feels comfortable around you, she is very loving! She is a very easy cat as she is happy doing her own thing but would like cuddles at bedtime. Once she feels safe, you'll start seeing her personality shine through & you'll see a lot more of her as she might hide initially. She's a really sweet girl & would appreciate someone who will take their time to gain her trust.
Toad🐸:
I haven't uploaded any pictures of Toad as at the time of uploading this advert I didn't have any, and now the ad won't let me add any more pictures, so if you're interested in him I'll send you pictures! (however, he just looks like a typical black cat with green eyes). Toad is brilliant! My friend has had him since a kitten. He loves cuddles when he's in the mood for them. He has a massive personality and never fails to make us laugh. Willow & Toad grew up together as kittens so they really love each other!! Separating these 2 isn't really an option.
🐾Pair 2: Clem & Goose
Clem🐈⬛:
Clem is an amazing cat! He is gentle, extremely friendly & so loveable. He would be great with kids as my friend says he messes around & plays with him & he's never bitten or scratched. He loves cuddles from anybody, whether he knows you or not. He is pretty confident, so we think he would do okay in a household with children & small dogs.
Goose🪿:
Goose is an adorable 2 year old cat! He is also quite shy & reserved like Willow, as he was originally a stray when he was a kitten. I'm not sure how he would do with children or dogs. However, if it's older children & small dogs, he would probably be okay, I think he would just need lot's of patience and time while adjusting.
If you are interested in re homing any of the cats, please send me a message with the answers to these following questions:
1. Have you had cats before?
2. Do you live on a main road?
3. Are you okay with the cats being mainly indoors but have the option to go outside, e.g. have a cat flap?
4. Do you have any other pets?
5. Do you have any young children?
6. Are you willing to take the cats for vaccinations & boosters when you re home them? This will be around £40-£60 per cat depending on the vets.
7. Are you prepared for the costs of food, litter, toys & vet bills?
8. As all the cats are young, are you prepared for a 15+ year responsibility?
9. If you're taking on Goose, will you be willing to take him to the vets to get him castrated? This will be around £150 depending on the vets.
If you have any questions feel free to message & ask! 💕
