Description

Winston and Doris are lovely dog who enjoys walks and a lot of cuddles and company. They have always been brought up around children and visitors. I had previously worked from home so both dogs were used to a morning walk on school run then home to work and then a walk for pick up. Doris and Winston were very used to me being at home and would sleep under the table while I worked. However, since I was made redundant my working hours have now changed and I am out the house 7-5 for 5 days a week. Winston has since become very grumpy and bored and this has started to show with his behaviour. This has lead us to make the heartbreak decision to have to re home our pets so they can get the time and love they deserve. Since this change in job and Winston being left at home alone a lot more the most he has has ever been left which resulted in him being occasionally snappy. This is just one single snap at your hand to show leave me alone. Please note this is not constant, this seems to be when he’s been left alone as if he’s sulking or just doesn’t wish to walk or just being stubborn. He is an absolutely lovely dog and I do believe once he gets all the attention he deserves again this will go. Winston walks lovely on the lead, him and Doris have always been walked on a split lead and happily walk past other dogs, Doris will occasionally bark if walked alone. Doris and Winston are feed in separate rooms as Doris is greedy she will eat hers then run between hers and Winston’s bowls so we now just feed in different rooms. Both were crate trained and will go back into crates however, we don’t use crates any more. Winston and Doris have always been together, Winston needs company so will only be looking to rehome them together. Due to Winston’s occasional snappy moments I feel they would be best suited in a home without small children. With time and effort I believe these moments will stop as he won’t be lonely and grumpy. Winston is born July 2021 and a part of our family since 8 weeks old and Doris July 2022 came straight to us from 8 weeks old. Therefore they are a much loved family pet so this is a very hard decision we have had to make.
