Description
We are looking for a loving new home for our two indoor British Shorthair cats (both 2 years old from the same litter): one is a lilac golden shaded, and the other is a chocolate golden shaded.
They are both incredibly sweet, affectionate, and well-mannered, with truly gentle temperaments. They are healthy, fully neutered, and have never been used for breeding.
They are strictly indoor cats and have excellent behaviour at home — they have never scratched, bitten, hissed, or shown aggression. They are comfortable being picked up and handled, and they enjoy being cuddled and stroked. They are also very people-oriented: when we are at home, they follow us from room to room and like to stay close, like little companions who always want to be involved.😊They also get along really well with our friends, sticky to everyone.
This is an extremely difficult decision for us, but we need to rehome them due to worsening allergies. We are both allergic to cat hair, and since the cats reached adulthood our symptoms have become significantly more severe. As a result, we are no longer able to spend as much time playing with them, cuddling them, and giving them the close daily companionship they crave — especially our lilac golden shaded cat, who is exceptionally clingy and loves interactive play and human attention.
We feel bad that our health limitations prevent us from giving them the affectionate, hands-on life they deserve. That is why we are responsibly searching for a new home that can offer them more time, warmth, and constant company.
⭐️:Because they are so affectionate and people-focused, we are looking for a home where someone is around for most of the day (e.g., working from home or home often), and ideally does not travel frequently or for long periods — and if travel happens, the cats must be properly cared for and never left without suitable arrangements. We would strongly prefer a home without large pets, with someone who is not allergic to cats, and who is happy for cats to be close companions — sleeping in the same room/bed, playing regularly, and receiving lots of affection. Our priority is simply to find them a stable, caring home where they can be truly loved and have the attention they naturally seek. Importantly, they MUST be taken as a pair as they are really close brothers and plays along very often.
