🐶 Axel is a stunning 3-year-old black long-haired shepherd, large size, but on pictures looks bigger than in reality. Despite everything he has been through, he is the picture of loyalty, intelligence and gentleness – an exceptional dog waiting for his chance to love and be truly loved in return.

💔 Rescue Story
🐶 Axel’s life was turned upside down when his people fled the war, leaving him behind near an abandoned house. Lonely and confused, he waited faithfully, hoping for someone to return. Thankfully, rescuers found him and gave him safety. From the very first day, he showed nothing but gratitude, kindness, and a remarkable desire to connect with people.
🐶 Axel is what many would call a dream dog. He is incredibly responsive, eager to please and affectionate. He loves people deeply – always ready to give a paw, lean in for a hug, or simply sit by your side with his soft eyes full of trust. His foster describes him as “the most obedient dog I’ve ever met – almost like a kitten in the way he seeks closeness and affection.”
🐶 Axel gets along well with other dogs and shows no aggression, though if another male challenges him, he will stand his ground. With cats he shows no reaction on walks or through windows, though he has not lived with them directly. He is good with children, though a home with dog-savvy kids aged 8 and above would be best to respect his gentle nature.
🐶 Axel can be the only dog or with another friendly dog. As with all male dogs, we recommend pairing Axel with a female dog to avoid potential competition, even though this has not been a problem for him so far.

🐶 Axel would suit an active yet affectionate family who can include him in daily life and not leave alone for long, as he is true companion. He would thrive with people who enjoy walks, outdoor time, and who also appreciate quiet moments together. A calm, balanced female dog in the home would be a wonderful companion for him. He will flourish in a loving home where his loyalty and devotion are met with the same in return.

🐶 Axel is fully healthy. Neutered. Has all core vaccines done, microchipped. All dogs are C.Brucella tested before the trip (owners will receive a licensed laboratory test certificate).
