Thank you for taking the time to read my advert - Sadly we are looking to rehome lovely little Wilbur, due to him not bonding with my other dog.
We rehomed Wilbur 2 months ago, on the basis that he was a shy and anxious little boy, and was described as a little old man.
This isn’t the case, he is a bundle of energy and is very confident in most situations. He does suffer with some separation anxiety, so for this reason, he would be best suited to someone that is able to spend most of their time with him. He would also thrive as the only dog. He does get along with small dogs, but he is feisty with my bigger dog and it just isn’t fair on my resident dog or on Wilbur.
Wilbur is a typical dachshund and likes to bark, but has been learning the word quiet and can be bribed with treats.
He is loving and gets very attached to his caregiver and will make the perfect companion for someone. He loves his walks and likes playing with squeaky toys and has a cracking personality.
I haven’t taken this decision lightly and have tried to make rehoming him work, but things aren’t improving with his bond with my bigger dog.
