Description
We have 1 girl available to go to a Guardian Home.
A guardian home provides a loving, permanent home for a breeding dog, allowing the dog to live as a beloved pet rather than in a kennel. The family covers daily care (food, routine vet visits, grooming), while we pay for breeding related health testing and expenses. We would retain breeding rights and receive the dog back temporarily for litters, ensuring well-socialized, healthy breeding dogs.
What are the benefits of being a Guardian Family?
1. You would get a high quality, well-bred pick of the litter puppy for a reduced fee of £1,000 (ordinarily £2,500)
2. Your dog would be welcome to stay with us free of charge should you go on holiday or need overnight care (this is also to ensure the dog is very familiar with us, our home & our dogs).
3. You would receive a ‘thankyou’ bonus for each successful litter (either the value of 1 puppy or the option to keep a puppy from your girls litter free of charge).
4. Your dog will be health tested to a breeding standard at no additional cost to the Guardian
5. We would pay for the spay upon the dogs retirement from the Guardian home programme
6. Guardian families can visit their dog and her puppies throughout the breeding process, so you would get to experience the joys of breeding without the responsibility or the expense.
How does it work?
A carefully chosen puppy (pick of the litter) goes home to their guardian family at 8wks old where they will raise the dog as their pet, focusing on training, socialization, exercise, and standard vet care (shots, flea/tick meds). When the dog is of age, she would be thoroughly health tested to ensure she is fit to breed (expenses covered by us) and if so she would then be bred at approx. 2, 3 & 4yrs old. The dog would return to us for approx. 8wks for whelping (birthing/raising puppies) then return home to her family. Her family can visit her & her puppies regularly during her 8wk stay. After a set number of litters (approx. 2-3), the dog would be spayed (paid for by us) and permanently retire with their guardian family, with full ownership transferred. The dog would not be bred more than once per year and would not have more than 3 litters with us.
If you are interested in this opportunity or would like to know more please reach out to us before the 13th February.
