Description

UNSPAYED, FULLY HEALTH CHECKED AND VACCINATED. PRICING MAY CHANGE. I’m unfortunately having to make this post due to a list of changes in circumstance. Currently on Burgess Excel Adult Rabbit pellets. — Haybox subscribed first cut timothy hay. Brand is unimportant but the greener the better. My giant lop mix, Flopsy, was a temporary self rescue and foster. Flopsy is a 4y/o mix breed giant lop rabbit. She is extremely curious and adventurous, as well as friendly and outgoing. She will need constant engagement in terms of activities, toys, and forage as she tends to become destructive when bored. She loves her 4am zoomies, especially speeding in and out of her tunnel. She can be either indoor/outdoor, as she was housed outdoors for most of her years of her life, albeit in an unsuitable hutch. She is a very active rabbit, and she needs a large space to run around, with a few good places to hide. Either a suitable sized x-pen OR an outside shed with an attached run would be appropriate for her. Whilst fostering her, she has been living in a large x-pen with supervised free roam time, although due to her destructive tendencies it is preferable that she either has a rabbit-proof room, or a SECURE x-pen she cannot lift up and wriggle under, placed away from any high surfaces/shelves with valuable objects. She is an escape artist! I am quite confident that she could thrive alone, however I recommend spaying her and attempting to bond with a neutered male rabbit, as she has (unfortunately) been housed/bonded with a male rabbit before. Because of this, she has had two litters in the past, and should not be bonded until spayed and fully recovered. She is EXTREMELY territorial, as rabbits are, so this is an absolute necessity. Furthermore, due to her age, she is in the age group where she could potentially develop reproductive cancers, and spaying would completely remove chances of this. Despite being unspayed, she has a natural preference (normal in rabbits) to do her business in one spot, so she is very easily litter trained. Spaying will of course improve this. Flopsy is very sociable and has been raised around kids. Because of her past living conditions, she is very numb to any kind of loud noises, predatory animals, etc. but I don’t advise putting predator and prey together. She is great around kids and does not bite, however, be mindful that rabbits are not kid’s pets, and a long-term commitment. No child should be left responsible for them. She does not enjoy being picked up or restrained, so nail trimmings aren’t the easiest with her. She is very smart and food motivated, and loves any kind of puzzle/enrichment activity at meal times. She enjoys a fresh salad of herbs, romaine lettuce, and sometimes a fruit treat. !VEGGIES ONLY EVERY COUPLE DAYS! — She is prone to bloat because of improper diet as a younger rabbit, it could seriously mess up her gi system if this is altered. Any changes to her diet will have to be gradual. ——————————————————— Genuine enquiries only please!
