Hi please meet socks, he is roughly based on the vets estimation 7 to 8 months old.
History of socks: I have socks from a rescue team who really needed someone to find him a forever home.
I've decided to foster the little guy with me until I can find him a family. He has been with me for over 3 weeks. I already have 2 dogs and he is getting along great with them and as I walk a lot in a pack group I can say he does exceptionally good with any dog or new person he meets.
I have taken him to the vets and he has all the vaccinations up to date.
Good points:
He is great with other dogs and even cats
He has a basic recall
He is very good on the leash he won't pull
He loves a good ball, therefore it's easy to train.
He has all the vaccinations up to date including:
Rabies vaccine first and second dose
Flea and worm treatment and everything else is noted in his passport and health book.
He comes with a passport and a microchip
He is easy to tire out and loves to cuddle at home on sofa and sleep after walks, he won't give anyone hard times indoors.
House toilet trained
The list can continue but I can promise you that he is a great dog with minimalistic expectations.
If you can walk him, feed him (not fussy about food). If you can walk him, register him to the vets, give his worm and flea tablets in time.
Have a compact and good setup around you
Like a garden or a park nearby then that's great.
Bad points: he is very good with kids, he never growls or bark at anyone or anything pretty much my other dog Lulu barks and plays with but socks he never goes wild.
Although when a kid tries to get his attention he will not come close instantly but he has to be won over with treats and make sure to be let know the kids are safe. ( Socks will not run away either from a kid)
That is not the case with adults, he goes to adults and says hi, plays and shows a lot of affection.
I'm looking to re-home him as I can't keep 3 dogs, not that I don't want to or socks isn't a great dog, but I have limitations with my rented property and also, I want socks to get the best life possible with someone who can focus on him and be responsible.
