Description

Sonny is a 1yo toy poodle boy. He’s very snuggly and friendly. We’re rehoming him for what is essentially the worst reason ever (I know, please don’t judge us), as we’ve just had a new baby and honestly he’s just not getting a look in! He’s not been walked since the baby arrived 10 weeks ago, it’s not working. He’s been raised around children and is very very friendly. He chases them around the garden all day! This does come across as very “in your face” though, so if your child is even slightly nervous of dogs then he really isn’t the dog for you! Most of my daughter’s friends are scared of him as he’s very jumpy! TBH I’d rather give him to people that don’t have kids, he really needs some time and effort, and as a mum of 3 I just haven’t been able to put that in! He was perfectly toilet trained until we had the baby. He keeps having accidents in the house now, but I think it’s because I’m preoccupied and don’t take him out. He may just need abit of prompting with toileting whilst he gets back into the habit. He’s not trained at all otherwise. He doesn’t even have a recall! You do need to keep him on lead at all times when out, and you need to shut him in room before you open the front door otherwise he darts out. He barks at other dogs but this is because he wants to get to them to play. He’s very very friendly with dogs. He is a regular visitor at our village pub and center parcs! Essentially very friendly 1 year old boy, but very boisterous, cheeky, unruly and completely untrained. He’d be a great dog for someone who enjoys doggy training classes. He’s very eager to learn! (If you’ve never had a poodle before, heads up the grooming costs are ALOT. £80-£100 a month for a professional groomer. Doing it yourself takes HOURS, makes a lot of mess and looks crap if you don’t know what you’re doing! Please factor this in before contacting). ************
