Sex unknown as they are not dna tested. They are not rung as are aviary bred by my beautiful Girl Quince and Boy Apple...
This is my first and only clutch of the year and we have a beautiful Blue cream, Green yellow and Yellow green baby.
Being hand reared from 3 weeks old on a great quality formula.
Currently introducing seed, pellets, water and veg & fruit.
Introduction to human hands and house noises from an early age helps with the taming process.
Will be introducing toys soon and the opportunity to explore a cage with perches at low level.
They will be ready to leave home from approximately the 1st of October depending if they are fully weaned and able to perch.
The Kakariki is a beautiful bird originating from New Zealand. Know as a grass seed parakeet. They are clever and curious, a little mischievous but such funny characters. Their happy little chirps are easier on the ears compared to some parakeets and parrots. They are an ideal First Time Bird for beginners.
They need a large size flight cage and plenty of out of cage time. With exploration toys and shredding toys.
They also love foraging toys and boxes which are easy to make yourself.
