Description

Both Hip Scored No Hip Dysplasia. Our Standards are beyond the criteria of DEFRA, we ensure healthy puppies who are fit for purpose, with the disposition of a happy, well-balance, fit healthy dog as we work toward the future health of the breed. Somerset Council M035660. We have been asked to repeat this mating, due to the outstanding results of the first litter. Not only did the puppies of Aurora and Drift’s previous litter, grow into beautiful adult dogs in looks and nature, when tested, they are Clear NON-Carriers of the genetic diseases common to the breed, this litter will also be clear non-carriers of the same tested genetic afflictions. Moreover, Because of careful ancestry, they are not related and their COI 0% Meaning they are indeed very special. All our puppies are born and reared in the home. Kennel Club Registered, Microchipped, Wormed and Flea Protected, vaccinated either by us or yourselves, depending on age, compulsory. All puppies are set above the standards of socialising by DEFRA within their age development. Socialised to the Dog world and Human world with instruction and coaching to new owners on moving the puppy's development on to ensure a well-balanced, happy puppy, who develops into a wonderful, loyal, reliable and happy dog of the family and community. Our small home kennel has all clear non carrier males and females. We have Sable Girls, Tricoloured and Blue Girl. With their father and brother who are available for Stud with outside, DNA test girls, to ensure we continue to protect the breed for the future of this breed. From the moment of birth, the puppy begins to learn, without any sight or sound, they are learning immediately, as they shuffle across the floor of the whelping box, smelling their way to survival of food and warmth from Mum, by one to two days they usually have it locked in, Mum becomes the most important being to them. Mum to us is so precious, not only to her puppies, but to us as a family member, she, as all of our dogs have been brought up with our very happy unit, where people can visit and greet us and them as if we are their own kin, coming freely into our home. Looking after Mum throughout her life, is of utmost importance to us, her life experiences as well as our interaction with both Dog and Human world means that every interaction matter for both of our species through baby/puppyhood at all stages of development, her confidence is passed down to her babies. If Mum isn't right, whether human or canine, her family often find it difficult to function at its highest levels. In the world of those caring to produce new generations of Rough Collies, that is where breeder's male and female successfully can step in, as good breeders always imbed themselves into Mum's life. Able there to help, anticipate needs, ensure complete nourishment, cleanliness for her and her puppies. Every member of a family is important and matters not only in our own family units, but especially in the lives of our Domestic Dogs. The venture to bring you these beautiful, non-affected puppies, was started long before we came on the scene, back then our lives were concentrating on the Dog Species generally. Watching, interacting and observing, caring on a professional level in our home, we had no intent to become breeders during that period, very happy with our interaction with most breeds; There was a special feeling felt by us both, for although loving most breeds, we admired the grace, stature, loyalty and intelligence of our own dogs, The Rough Collie; that was the breed we wish to have, as family, for the rest of our lives! When we met, the pioneering breeder of our own breeding dogs, 9 years ago, we learned that our breeder had spent the last 40 years of her life, dedicated, working to repair the genes of The Rough Collie. Scouring the world to find, purchase and import non-carrier dogs, of the genetic faults that were beginning to affect the breed. We were so blessed to have been allowed to purchase her non-carriers as pets and then to have been given permission to breed them, in order that we could bring the genetically clear dogs to the South and South-West. So, our journey began, we increased our non-carrier dogs, with their offspring (that was kind of an accident as I especially couldn't let the puppies go) parting with these babies then was, like giving your own babies away. However, a few years later, I then found that we must carry on with our plans, as we really do live in a kennel, remember all dogs are treated as family members, in such a household, our kids do tend to pile on our beds when happy, joyful, and seeking us out. We, now like those breeders before us who were breaking the mould, searching to repair, make and keeping the gene pool viable, are breeding to widen it also. Keeping to the Classic, standard, encouraging the traits, that made the authentic Collie what it was originally, is found throughout the new generations. That they are fit for purpose and do not cost their new owners a fortune in avoidable vet bills. To ensure that the puppy is safely and gently exposed to our safe dogs, people, noises, household noises, outdoor noises, and traffic as they walk from 5 weeks with their Mum and others viewing the world from the safety of their own doggie pram. Moulding good infant, adolescent, adult dogs etc. The safe exposures, which allow the young soul to develop happily, feeling the love of its family safely within its environment to become a good adult, within its community. Such dogs are rewarded, by the smile of a pleased human being, this enforces the good behaviour and a well-balanced, happy dog. A Dog that will love you unconditionally for the rest of its life and a dog that you will hold in your heart and talk about for the rest of your own. Should a puppy’s new owner consider having their own litter, this litter puppies would be safe for breeding.
