Description

Affectionately known as 'The Giant Floof', this adorable bundle of hair and chaos needs a new home. He is so affectionate, soppy and adores a belly rub. Great with other dogs in the house and children too, very chilled at home and loves a good walk! He is very food driven and, since we have had him, we have taken his weight down from 42kg to around 38kg through a good exercise routine and consistent measured feeds. He walks to heel on a slip lead now and doesn't pull if you keep him under control. He was always walked on a harness before and so it was job number one to get that pulling habit dealt with! His personality and character are certainly bold! He is a little food thief and loves to give big cuddles. He is a total gentle giant at home and is great with another dog too. He has been with our 9 year labrador from the day we had him and was also with another senior labrador since he was a puppy with his previous family. He is super affectionate towards our lab and they both get on like a house on fire, as he does with my mother's Jack Russell. So why do we need to find him a new home? We only re-homed him around six weeks ago but due to him being reactive towards other stranger dogs on the lead, something that was not disclosed to us by his original family, he simply cannot fit into our lives in the way we wished (and do wish) he would do. We both wish that we had the spare time to train it out of him, as we do believe it is entirely possible, but with us both working full time it just isn't something that we had anticipated having to do. We adore him so much but to have to leave him at home when the other dogs are out running free on walks and on days out seems extremely unfair and we both feel it is necessary to get him settled permanently as soon as possible for his long term happiness. So if you have a lovely garden and have the time and love to give to this big ball of affection then please do send us a message. We adore this dog and it breaks our heart to have to do this. He is vaccinated and wormed up to date, he is microchipped and is currently fed on CSJK9 kibble twice a day.
