Meet Pablo. He is such a gentle giant, very talkative and very intelligent! We purchased him in September from an amazing fully licensed breeder and fell in love with him. He comes to you when called, loves a cuddle (on his terms), asks for showers which again he loves, has never bitten hard and instead will make a warning noise if he is not happy with something or will simply fly away. He has been fantastic with the rest of my flock, has never been aggressive with any of them. He's so clever and will spin and say 'go round' for his treats, he asked for 'water', laughes, says hello, night night, good boy and speaks other words. He will go to everyone in the family and even some strangers but he only likes snuggles from myself and my husband. His dislikes are being in his cage, and unfortunately anyone touching my Hahns Macaw, this is the bit that breaks my heart!! :(.
I've had my Hahns for almost 6 years and thought a friend would be a great idea. At first all was great but recently he has decided that she belongs to him, wants to control him and doesn't want anyone touching her, unfortunately she is not feeling the same way and has begun to fight him away. Maybe I was silly to think they would get along but I've learnt the hard way.
I want to find Pablo the best possible home where he can safely be out of his cage for the majority of the day. Previous experience of larger parrots is a must. He will come with his large indoor cage and all his toys. I will be asking lots of questions about his new home but please don't take it personally I just want the best for him x
