Description
We are urgently looking for a committed, experienced, and patient forever home for Bronx, a 4-year-old pocket bully who has sadly experienced a lot of instability through no fault of his own.
After going through a loss, Bronx was rehomed last year. A few weeks ago, his original owner received an alert stating he had been reported missing. After further communication, it became clear that Bronx had been dumped and living on the streets for a period of time. Because he was still registered to his original owner, she had to take responsibility for him or he would have faced being put to sleep.
Bronx was rehomed again very recently, but this placement did not work out as the adopter’s child became scared of him. Bronx has now come back to us. This decision was made in everyone’s best interests — a scared child and a dog who is still settling is not a safe or fair situation for either.
Due to housing issues, we cannot keep Bronx long-term, so this is an urgent plea to find him the right forever home — one that understands his needs and can commit to him fully.
🐾 About Bronx
Bronx is an affectionate, people-loving boy with a big personality. He absolutely loves the outdoors, enjoys going for walks, and thrives when he can get out and explore. He is very cuddly, seeks affection, and bonds closely with his people.
He is social with other dogs. He has been around children previously, but due to his size, strength, and excitement levels, we are now seeking a home with confident older children only, or preferably an adult-only home. He is not suitable for homes where children are fearful of dogs.
Bronx can become excited and anxious around new people and new environments. He also mounts out of excitement, particularly when overstimulated. This is not aggression, but it does require management, training, patience, and consistency.
Because Bronx spent time living on the streets, he has unfortunately picked up some bad habits, and some of these behaviours are new to us, as he had not been with us for over a year and was not displaying them prior to being rehomed last time. He needs time to decompress and a calm, structured environment to help him feel secure again.
🏡 The Home Bronx Needs We are looking for:
An experienced owner, ideally familiar with larger or strong breeds
Someone with the time, commitment, and patience to continue training
Calm, confident handling and clear, consistent boundaries
A stable, permanent pet home
No small animals (he has not lived with them)
Confident older children only, or adult-only home preferred
📄 Comes with papers
🎁 Will be rehomed with lead, collar, crate, and essentials
A small rehoming fee applies to ensure a responsible placement. Bronx must never be passed on again. Please only get in touch if you can give Bronx what he needs
We know this is a long and very honest post, but Bronx deserves transparency and the right match. With the right person, he has so much love to give and will make a loyal, affectionate companion.
If you feel you can offer Bronx the time, patience, and stability he desperately needs, please get in touch as soon as possible. Let’s make sure his next home is truly his last. ❤️
