Description
We purchased Skye in January of this year from a lady in Chesterfield, at that time she had never been in a home environment and she was living in a Stable block with another Labrador, she has been a dream, taken everything in her stride apart from the busyness of our home environment and the competition of other dogs for our attention and affection, genuinely, brilliant clean and dry in the home, she is crate trained, but does not sleep nor is she kept in a crate when we are out and prefers to have a cuddle in bed before retreating to her bed on the floor, we’ve not needed too keep her in a crate at all, great with our children, good with our male dog for the main part, but finds our other 2 females a bit full on at times, she is very affectionate, sometimes overly affectionate, she just wants to be near you and cuddle close, with this, she very much pushes our other dogs out, which is causing some issues with their behaviour in vying for attention and a bit of anxiety with them.
She has been fully vaccinated as they had lapsed, since joining us, she is now up to date with regular flea/tick and worming. She needs one of her ears cleaned regularly, which we have been doing weekly since she arrived but aside from that, she is genuinely a great dog, pulls slightly on the lead but works well with a figure of 8 slip, good recall, good with commands. She will happily walk all day long, but also will settle on the sofa and relax.

Skye would thrive more and be happier, in a less busy home, with a calmer dog would be fine, fine with cats, she just needs to be in a home where she has more peace from 3 other bouncy energetic dogs and a revolving door of children and countless friends in and out. She has not had the best start, but in finding her the right environment, she will have the best life, which we had hoped to give, we are in no rush to rehome, this would have to be the right forever home, which regrettably isn’t here as it’s just too chaotic.
