Description

I’ve had Sid since being a tiny puppy. Breeder said he had a slight glide in his eye (nothing to worry about) and a tiny hernia. Fast forward a few months and Sid is completely blind in one eye and only 25% vision in his other eye. The hernia can be quickly removed at the same time he’s neutered as confirmed by my vet. Sid isn’t toilet trained and will soil his bed, urinate in his crate although he tries his best to go outside. He was doing well until he lost his sight so he needs further training in this area. He obviously needs more time to navigate outside to go to the toilet and accidents happen. He needs someone who will understand this going forward. Sid loves his walks and snuggles on the sofa although forgets he’s 25kg and loves being a lapdog. Sid loves everyone and I mean everyone. We had a cat who recently passed and he was his best friend. He wants to play with other dogs and can’t understand if another dog barks at him. He’s a strong boy, boisterous like any puppy but needs a strong handler and training. Sid truly has a heart of gold He needs a loving home with patient owners who will understand his disability, be at home most of the time, be his eyes when out on walks, guide him away from reactive dogs (he’s not reactive in the slightest) and be his constant companion. Please only get in touch if you have the time and patience to understand his needs and blindness….he can’t just do normal things quickly like other dogs and these things take more time. Sid is over zealous meeting people and will jump, nibble, urinate….i have been informed he has anxiety probably brought on by his disability and have purchased calming collars and calming plug ins diffusers which seem to be helping. Although Sid loves everyone including dogs he may benefit from being the only dog in the house because of his size, weight and strength so please consider this before messaging. Also within a home with either no children or teenagers who understand his needs. Beautiful boy, loyal companion, great with my teenage children and younger that visit (although doesn’t realise his weight and strength) so perhaps not suitable for tiny children purely because of his needs. Sid has a tendency to hump people and can’t be neutered until he’s 18 months of age although he doesn’t do this with me. Please consider this in your decision. Manchester area Swinton Please only get in touch if able to travel to collect him
