Description
1) Intro (please read carefully as I won't respond if you don't meet the criteria):
I’m seeking a new, loving home with a behaviourist for my Pocket American Bully. He’s become reactive in my flat environment after an incident (bit a contractor), and now shows no signs of bite inhibition. I’m unable to relocate due to my mortgage. In addition, I now have more work commitments and expected to be in the office more and can no longer give him the attention he deserves.
2) Dog Profile:
- Age - 3 years, 7 months
- Sex - Male
- Weight - 29kgs
- Microchipped
- Was chemical castrated, now worn-off.
- Health notes: Apoquel-treated allergies, vaccination record.
- Training: house-trained up to 12 hours (NO chewing or fouling), lead-trained and basic commands (list can be provided).
3) Behaviour & Needs:
- Reactivity: to dogs, children, and my partner/people in the home after incident. Also to another family when I tried to re-home him.
- Exercise: 30–60 min daily (evenings only)
- Play style: fetch, tug, rough-and-tumble (2-3 sessions of 10-20 mins a day)
- Chewing food: i.e. bones, rawhide etc at night as he likes to chew then.
- Dissecting (prey drive or predatory motor pattern) - Give boxes with food to destroy daily.
- Partially muzzled-trained, can be stationery in pub etc. However need to acclimatise with muzzle 1st as can redirect.
