I am so incredibly pleased to introduce you to my gorgeous litter - the ‘Firecracker Kisses’ puppies, from mum Waffle and dad (not owned by myself, but Blakeswood Australian Labradoodles) Brinkley. With five girls and three boys, these scrumptious little pups are now beginning to interact with the world around them and continue to enjoy their socialisation curriculum - started at 3 days old and will continue on until they go home at 8 weeks old.
As adults, I expect the puppies to be medium in size (up to 18-20” to shoulder and 14-18kg when fully grown). These little ones will be ready to go to their forever homes on the 11th October.
I love to always give a proper introduction and overview of what I do/ how my puppies are raised, so please do read on to get a feel for me and how I do things!
My name is Beth and I’m the owner of Lily Hill Australian Labradoodles. All of my dogs are WALA registered and I complete genetic, eye, hip and elbow screening on each active breeding dog prior to them being active in my programme. I have the certificates available for viewing when families come for the puppy visits and send home copies of both parents health testing in their go home documentation.
Keeping families updated during the puppy journey is something that’s very important to me - once mums have had their ultrasound scans and pregnancies confirmed, I send regular updates sharing where the puppies are in their development over the second and third trimesters and also giving little nudges re things to be thinking about/ starting to prepare. Once the puppies have been born, you’ll get regular weekly update emails that detail what the puppies have been up to and how mum is getting on, and a link to the litter Dropbox where I share LOTS of photos and videos of the little ones as they grow.
My puppy pack (amongst many other things!) includes 3x Zoom calls with the trainer I work closely with and a seminar with a certified canine nutritionist prior to the puppies going home. You will also benefit from an online puppy course to support your preparation for welcoming your new puppy home.
My main priority is ensuring that you are as prepared as you can be for the arrival of your puppy. Educating you, and giving you all the tools to be able to respond to the situations and challenges you may face as you grow with your pup is, in my opinion, so incredibly important. I will always be on the end of the phone ready to offer advice, support, or to point you in the right direction but doing what I can to set you up as competent owners is a responsibility I take very seriously.
In terms of matching you to your forever friend, I do like to highlight that my allocation process is a little different to other breeders, and it is the temperament and personality of the puppy that I focus on and how this will fit with your family’s lifestyle/ energy etc. You don’t need to worry if you are last to join a waiting list with me as I treat all families equally when matching the puppies to their new families. I take into consideration who you as a family are drawn to during the family visit alongside the input from my behaviourist, and also the puppy profiles I build for each pup starting from 3 weeks old when deciding who is going home with who between 6.5 and 7 weeks old.
