Description

I am making an urgent post to rehome my boy Alan. I have just rehomed him myself and have had him since 5th June. He was being rehomed free because one of his previous owners had passed away and the other could no longer care for him properly. Alan NEEDS a no dog no child household. He is NOT aggressive, however has nipped a couple of times and the reason I am having to urgently rehome is because he badly went for my chihuahua today. I cannot have this around my children. However, we do not want anything bad to come of Alan, he has really come out of his shell and has shown he has a gorgeous personality. Alan is not sure on people he doesn’t know too well. We have seen a huge change in him since having him, so I know there is potential and possibility for Alan. Alan does not like people coming to the door. He will bark and jump up. He has however stopped this with us though because he is used to us. Alan has nipped both me and my partner drawing a tiny amount of blood each time when we have been play fighting together. Again, I am not convinced this was aggressive but still important to note. Tonight Alan was playing with my chihuahua as they usually do. After they stopped, out of no where Alan went for him and we had to rip him away. This has come as a huge shock to us and completely unexpected. I really thought he might seriously hurt or kill him because Barney is so tiny. Alan is a big boy. Alan does not however need to go to a dog warden he needs a trusting, stern and suitable home with strictly no other pets or children due to being unpredictable. The absolute best outcome would be BFF or Alan to go to a trainer as he DOES listen and is very clever. Alan can become quite possessive of women owners. Positives: Alan is absolutely amazing on walks. He does not pull and walks right by your side. Alan is a sweetie at heart and when comfortable gives the best cuddles. Alan is a gorgeous, beautiful boy from a full frenchie line, previously studded out by old owners. Alan deserves his forever home and is having a really confusing hard time at the moment with all of this passing around, he is a credit to himself otherwise and is protective, loyal and only wants to please. Alan really truly deserves a real chance to be loved in a much safer environment than I can offer with my tiny dog and young children, these people MUST have experience with French bulldogs and proof they can provide for him properly. It’s breaking my heart already as he’s grown on all of us and it would break even more to see him be sent to a pound or warden because he is misunderstood initially. Meet is essential, he will be protective when meeting and will not be comfortable straight away please keep this in mind. Only serious enquiries only and it’s not first come first served, it’s right home.
