Description
With the heaviest of hearts, we are looking to rehome our beautiful 2.5-year-old female German Shepherd. She has been a much-loved part of our family and, at her core, she is an intelligent, loyal, and affectionate dog who forms strong bonds with the people she trusts.
Unfortunately, after a frightening incident where a man suddenly jumped out and scared her, she developed anxiety-related behavioural issues. Since then, she has become nervous when leaving the house, struggles on the lead, and can bark at unfamiliar people and other dogs. These challenges mean she now needs more time, patience, and understanding than we are currently able to give her.
We have recently welcomed a new baby into our family, and as much as it breaks our hearts, we know we can no longer meet her needs in the way she deserves. This decision has not been made lightly, it comes from love and a genuine desire to do what is best for her wellbeing.
She currently lives happily with our other dog, so we believe she could live with another dog in the right environment. We are looking for a calm, experienced home that can offer her consistency, reassurance, and the time she needs to rebuild her confidence.
We will only consider rehoming her to a family who can truly support her needs and who has experience with German Shepherds as a breed, so that she has the best possible chance to thrive.
She has been a wonderful family dog, and we are devastated to be in this position. Our only wish is to find her a home where she can feel safe, understood, and deeply loved.
