Bambi is a 1 year old working spaniel. She is reactive and fears strangers. We would appreciate the family who will be interested in her to give her time to settle and trust them. We’ve had Bambi now for almost a year we got her when she was only a puppy. She’s truly a loving dog who absolutely loves long playtime, running in fields and garden. She is crate trained. However she does need proper training. She hates cats. She is reactive towards other dogs. She pulls on lead, barks a lot. She can be stubborn and at times ignore our commands. However this isn’t the reason why we decided to give be away. We have 3 cats which she didn’t settle with and unfortunately keeps attacking them as one of our cats is elderly we worry about their safety. Me and partner have very busy schedules and therefore we hardly have anytime for her. During the time when we got her this wasn’t the issue but unfortunately our lives changed. She truly is a beautiful dog that loves being put to work, run tons of sniffing and lots of cuddles. She was just like our child. People who will be interested in her have to realise this is a 1 year old dog not a puppy and she needs someone who is willing to give her what she needs. Proper training and love. She does fear people a lot. Doesn’t like strangers in the house or strangers touching her. She has been in a kennel 2 times now and she’s been amazing there. But she does need time to settle and gain trust. At groomers she is snappy. She doesn’t like the vets at all and it’s a very stressful place for her. As I said this is a dog who needs alot of time, patience and training. We hope she will get the loving family she deserves who will meet her needs. It’s truly heart breaking giving our dog away as she’s been our first dog me and partner ever got. We would hope and love that the family whom takes her keeps updates throughout her journey with them. We truly do love her!
